There are two type of respiration. Respiration which using oxygen is called aerobic respiration while anaerobic respiration is without oxygen. Yeast and human using both of the respiration. For human, aerobic respiration took place in normal condition while anaerobic respiration took place when someone is doing some activities. The equation of the human and yeast aerobic respiration is C6H1206(Glucose) + 602(Oksigen) -> 6H20 + 6CO2 + 2898 kJ (Energy (38 ATP)). Equation of the human anaerobic respiration is C6H1206 -> 2C3H603 (Lactic acid) +150kJ (Energy (2 ATP)). Equation of the yeast anaerobic respiration is C6H12O6 --zimase--> 2C5H50H(Ethanol) + 2C02 + 210 kJ
For the question above, when someone is breathing, the atmospheric gas(outside of body) is forced to enter the body because atmospheric pressure is higher than pressure inside our body. Then, the air will enter lungs through trachea. Trachea have two branches those are left and right bronchus. The air will move through both of them. Then, each of the bronchus also have branches that iscalled bronchiole. The same conditions happened again. After that, the air will arrive at one place, that is alveolus. There are many alveolus to create large surface are for gas diffusion. Its outside surface is covered by capillaries blood. The rate of diffusion will increase with many of this blood capillaries.
