how to find the median? firstly u must know what is median. Median is the value that located in the middle of the data when the data values are arranged in order. if the number of data is odd, the median is the middle number. If the number of data is even, the median is the mean(sum of the values of data items divide total number of data items) of the two middle values.
EXAMPLE
Find the medians of the following sets of data. (a) 10,9,11,6,5,8,7 (b) 10,9,11,6,5,8,7,12
*solution* (a) number of data values is 7 so we have rearrange the data in order of magnitude 5,6,7,8,9,10,11
so if the number of data is odd number (7) means the median is 8 from the question (a) because 5 6 7 | 8 | 9 10 11 its something like 5 pair with 11, 6 pair with 10 and 7 pair with 9 so it just left 8 alone so its the median. question (b) u can have a try
