micro is 10^(-6), so 78 x 10^(-6). but because the rule is that if you want to use this method, the number can only be from 0-10 ONLY. so you have to convert 78 to 7.8. as you can see, the decimal point has change its place. therefore u need to write it like this, 7.8 x 10^1 because when you expand the number back, u will get 78. ( i hope u can understand this). and then, dont forget the conversion unit for micro. so u have to put it at the very back. 7.8 x 10^1 x 10^(-6). then u can proceed to solve the question. -6+1 = -5 so 7.8 x 10^(-5) <-- this one is in micrometer. you havent convert it to mega yet. mega,M is 10^6. so, 7.8 x 10^(-5) x 10^6 = 7.8 x 10^1 Mm or 78 Mm
