Based on the novel 'The Railway Children' by Edith Nesbit(retold by John Escott) one interesting event with one moral value is when Bobbie, Peter, and Phyllis save the 11.29 train from a landslide. The moral value is bravery.
While walking, the children notice a small tree falling before being followed by other trees. Soon, a big rock too moves, causing a landslide. If the train comes by, it would certainly crush. Peter suggests they report to the the station of the incident, but it is past eleven. After some thinking, they decide to make flags out of the girls' red petticoats. Bobbie and Phyllis each has one and Peter two. They put the remaining pair of flags in the middle of the railway line. The children wait there for the train to arrive and when it does, they begin to wave their flags. Since the train shakes the railway, the flags in the middle fall. Bobbie acts quickly by picking up one of them and stand directly on the fast train's path. Despite Peter warning her, she continues to wave the flags until the train finally stops which are just twenty meters from her.
The moral value in the evidence is bravery. Even though Bobbie could lose her life, she risks herself to save the 11.29 train by standing on the railway line. If she does not do that, there would be a huge accident. That is why I admire her and hope I can be like her one day.
